Course Objective

The student will actively participate in the learning process at all times. The student will be encouraged to synthesize different values, information, and ideas and accommodate them within his/her own schema.In cognitive terms, students will learn to handle facts and ideas by organizing, comparing, interpreting, giving descriptions, and stating main ideas. Students will be encouraged to make inferences and find evidence to support generalizations. Students will be encouraged to develop critical thinking skills and to defend opinions by making judgments about information, or the validity of ideas

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   students will be able to produce grammatically correct English in a variety of creative spoken contexts
2   students will be able to understand spoken English of an increasingly complex nature with greater confidence
3   students will be able to speak spontaneously for several minutes about a variety of topics and in a variety of settings
4   to read and comprehend text in B1 level
5   to produce spoken text in B1 level
