Course Objective

The purpose of the course is to enable students to distinguish the concepts of what a method is, what an approach is, and what a technique is, to get the tenets of 20 methods and approaches since the period of grammar translation , to realize the underlying linguistic and psychological principles of language teaching and to design a lesson plan according to each method by applying suitable techniques.

1   Students are able to distinguish the differences between a method and an approach
2   Students are able to present and practice the methods in the classroom
3   Students are able to design a lesson plan according to each method
4   Students are able to solve problems related to each method
5   Students are equipped with all the techniques related to the methods
