Course Objective

Understanding the development of XIV. Century Turkısh Literature on Middle Asia and Anatolian areas and teaching its Works which represent literar tradition that occurred in Century and provides its importance and literary texts in Turkısh Culture which takes place in literary view.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to determine the development of the XIV. Century Turkish literature in terms of territories.
2   Through comprehending the reasons preparing the classical Ottoman poetry and the factors influential in the establishment process, being able to evaluate the development of this literary tradition within the century.
3   Establishing their relation with pre-Islamic literary tradition through understanding the density of the examples of Tuyuğ, integrated in the classical Ottoman poetry by Turks, in this century.
4   Being able to evaluate the characteristics and figures of the XIV. Century Turkish literature regarding the territories, to classify the literary texts according to genres.
5   Being able to read and interpret the poetic and prose literary texts related with the XIV. Century Turkish literature
