Course Objective

To give a grasp of the development of the XVI. Century Turkish Literature in the Middle Asian, Azeri and Anatolian territories through the figures and pieces representing the literary tradition established within the century, to enable the place and importance in the Turkish culture of the pieces partaking in the literary scene to be acknowledged

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to determine the developments of the XVI. Century Turkish literature in the Middle Asia, Azeri and Anatolian territories And to classify the textual products.
2   Being able to evaluate the transition of the classical Ottoman poetry into a classical literature on the basis of the epoch and the products, in terms of the common aesthetic values developed on the basis of the century.
3   Being able to determine tangibly the place of Fuzuli within our culture and the literary tradition.
4   Being able to determine the characteristics and the figures of the XVI. Century Turkish literature in terms of territories, to classify the literary texts according to genres.
5   Being able to be able to read and interpret the poetic and prose literary texts related with the XIV. Century Turkish literature.
