Course Objective

Briefly introducing the themes, forms and genres related with poetry in the classical Turkish literature, to enable to make analysis and interpretation on selective pieces belonging to the classical period through various methods and techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Literature knowledge pertaining the issue
2   Being able to gain the knowledge and material in order to be able to teach the field of poetry of former Turkish literature in the educational institutions.
3   Being able to read, understand and interpret the texts
4   Being able to enjoy the libraries and to read and evaluate the basic resources in their studies.
5   Being able to distinguish the basic pieces and authors within the field of poetry of common Islamic literatures as well as the Turkish language and literature
