Course Objective

At the end of the course students learn the chronological order, general features and effects of thought systems formed in mankind history from ancient Greeks until modern times .


Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to explain the accumulation of philosophy and thought in ancient Greeks
2   To be able to list the basic features of the structure of thought developed under the influence of Christianity in medieval Europe
3   To be able to analize the thought system developed by the effect of Islam in the East in Middle Ages and contributed by the ancient Greek heritage
4   To be able to tell the social conditions preparing the Renaissance and Reformation process
5   To be able to interpret the effects of Renaissance and Reforms' results to the world history
