Course Objective

Studying the reflections on artworks among the most important sources the Old and the New Testament effected Western World and learning to iconographic.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   1- Knows the curriculum, past info and bibliography. 2   2- Knows Old Testament, and its reflections on various artworks (literature, painting, sculpture, architecture and music) until Middle Ages till now. 3   3- Knows Genesis, Exodus, Judges, I. Samuel, I. Kings, Apocryphal Books, and the lives of John the Baptist and Virgin Mary. 4   4- Knows New Testament, and its reflections on various artworks (literature, painting, sculpture, architecture and music) until Middle Ages till now. 5   5- Knows the life of Jesus Christ and the Saints.
