Course Objective

The importance of museums and their development in Turkey and all over the world. The applicaitons of the gains of visual arts education in museums and galleries. The transformations of museums in community work in 21th century. The standarts of accustoming to visiting museums in primary and high school. The effect of establishing museums and galleries on public's taste in Turkey.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knowing the role of museum and galleries in contemporary education in Turkey.
2   Knowing the roles of museums as part of cultural elements (for example: variables without category).
3   Knowing the place of museums in formal and informal education.
4   Knowing the necessary hardware of a museum.
5   Knowing the characteristics of education rooms in museums.
6   Knowing the characteristics of employees of museum and galleries.
7   Knowing the relations of museum and galleries with arts.
8   Studying museum and galleries sociologically.
