Course Objective

General informing regarding the Masnavi poetry, to enable the presentation educative components by classifying Masnavi in terms of epochs and periods.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Information on the form of Masnavi poetry
2   Being able to comprehend the place and importance of Masnavi within Turkish literature
3   Being able to distinguish the hamse poets raised within the Turkish literature
4   Being able to classify the Masnavi tradition in to epochs, genres and opus
5   Being able to evaluate the differences of form and content in the Masnavi tradition regarding the centuries
6   Being able to comprehend the educative features of the Masnavi in individual and social life
