Course Objective

To introduce the potential of computers for doing mathematics and learning mathematics, To give students teachers research based activities to complete within a computer-based environment, To provide practical experiences with dynamic geometry and CAS software.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to use recent popular softwares in mathematics and geometry actively.
2   To be able to design rich learning environments by using computer software.
3   To be able to analysis secondary mathematics and geometry curriculum by means of using technology.
4   To be able to enhance computer based mathematics activities that are appropriate with modern learning theories.
5   To be able to follow research studies in the field of computer-based mathematics education.

5 The softwares used in computer based mathematics education: Activities of Geometry and Algebra with Geogebra.
6 Examining scientific researches in the literature about Geogebra.
7 Examining scientific researches in the literature about Geogebra.
8 Midterm exam.
9 The software used in mathematics education: Dynamic geometry software CABRI 3D (general features).
10 The software used in mathematics education: Dynamic geometry software CABRI 3D activities about space geometry.
11 Examining scientific researches in the literature about CABRI 3D.
12 Examining scientific researches in the literature about CABRI 3D.
