Course Objective

To be able to develop a scale that can be used in mathematics education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know basic concepts about measurement. 2   To know scale types. 3   To be able to apply basic facts in developing scales. 4   To be able to make analysis in developing scales. 5   To be able to make research about the subject in the literature.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description 1 Measurement and requirements of the measurement, basic concepts related to measurement 2 Scale types 3 Examining the scale types in the literature. 4 Reliability in measurement and affecting factors. 5 Reliability in measurement and affecting factors. 6 Measurement of attitudes, the basic elements that make up the attitude, the formation of attitudes 7 Attitude measurement approaches 8 Midterm exam. 9 Attitude measurement approaches 10 Determining / identifyinf the feature to be measured. 11 The creation of an attitude items for testing and organizing the draft scale, pilot study. 12 Analysis of the data collected from testing/ pilot study and item analysis. 13 The psychometric properties of the scale 14 Reliability and validity analyzes. 15 Final exam.
