Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to provide the students learn the necessary theoretical knowledge in home recording techniques, theory and equipment, software and practical skills that required for miking sound sources and musical instruments.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Record music in a home system.
2   Relate some recording equipment connections
3   Use recording software.
4   Relate possible miking techniques to various sound production environments and situations.
5   Recognize the sound sources and musical instruments which will be miked in the studio or home studio.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course will be carried out with presentations and discussions of the home recording systems. Some recording techniques, miking instruments and needed software knowledge will be given by the instructor.

2.Students are responsible for the use of the recording studio and all its equipment.
3.Students whom wish to practice individually or as a group should inform the course instructor and schedule their practice sessions due to the available studio hours into account.
Students whom wish to practice individually or as a group should take the required hardware components (equipments, etc.) from the course instructor and hand them back at the end of the session.
After starting lesson, students have to wait break time to enter the class
