Course Objective

To make students comprehend the importance of preschool education, main principles, main needs and characteristics of preschool child. To gain historical bases of preschool education, to have attitudes by analyzing the situation of the preschool education in the World and Turkey.

1   To be able to notice the social and individual benefits of preschool education
2   To be able to comprehend historical development of preschool education
3   To explain the characteristics of preschool education
4   To explain the main principles of preschool education
5   To explain preschool teachers personal and educational characteristics.

8   To evaluate the preschool education by inquiring the historical development of preschool education both in Turkey and in the world.
