Course Objective

This course aims to encourage the students to the study, analysis and appreciation of Hellenistic sculpture. Examining general technique and development of sculpture by using maters works.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand the general features and development of Hellenistic plastic arts.
2   Recognize and dating Hellenistic architectural ornaments.
3   Understand and dating Hellenistic gravestones.
4   Recognize and dating Hellenistic terracotta figurines.
5   Recognize and dating Hellenistic king portraits.
6   Recognize and dating Hellenistic bronze sculpture.
7   Understand Hellenistic sculpture schools.
