The purpose of microeconomics to provide students a thorough understanding of the principles of economics that apply to the functions of individual decision makers, both consumers and producers, within the economic system.

2   Predict a change in market outcomes given a change in supply or demand
3   Identify the determinants of demand and supply
4   Explain the concept of market types and equilibrium
