Course Objective

The objective of this course is to provide a background on the knowledge and skills related to manage in a cross-cultural global context. This course aims to provide the field s theoretical findings and practical applications in intercultural management and enables the students to apply this knowledge in a multicultural and multinational business environment.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Understand the role of culture in international business
2   learn components of the several important skills negotiation and conflicts management with the members of the foreign cultures, managing culturally appropriate leadership style, managing diverse teams
3   learn to recognize when cultural differences are affecting work relationships
4   understand critical and creative thinking, problem solving, teamwork, and written and oral communication skills in an international context.
5   become aware of their own cultural strengths and weaknesses when working with people from other cultures
6   increase their cultural intelligence
