Course Objective

The objective of the course is to extend analysis ans synthesis of circuits so that nonliner circuits are covered. Nonlinear circuit elements and their static and dynamical behavior will be discussed. Circuit analysis methods will be extended to nonlinear techniques by introducing nonlinear equation system solution techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to analyze circuits containing nonlinear possibly multi terminal elements using mathematical analysis
2   To be able analyze nonlinear circuits using computer based and graphical tools,
3   To be able synthesize nonlinear and piecewise linear resistive networks given the constraints
4   To be able to analyze and synthesize dynamical nonlinear circuits.containing nonlinear capacitor and inductor models.
