Course Objective

To make theoretical readings, to offer discussions and suggestions, to give seminars about materials which had been acquired through the literature reviews and the wide researches on cultural, economical, political and technological factors that played important roles at history of graphic design from 19th century to the third of the 20th.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The Student shall be able to analyse post-modern design movements, designers and design ecoles which had formed the history of graphic design on master s level.
2   The Student shall be able to analyse the design products which had been created in modern graphic design era.
3   The Student shall be able to make theoretical readings, write reasearch reports and do presentations about modern graphic theories on marter s level
4   The Student shall be able to have understand design culture and by this way he/she may be able to make connections between graphic design and the culture.
5   it is expected that student will be able to analyse thecnological, ideological and esthetic factors which had effected the development of graphic design on a theorical and conceptual surface.
