Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to:
1. describe the key components of research in management and organization studies
2. develop skills and knowledge about quantitative and qualitative organizational research,
3. identify criteria used to evaluate the quality of organizational research.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   should be able to formulate researchable questions
2   should be able to define a research strategy and design a research project to answer a research question
3   should be able to discuss the practice and principles of qualitative and quantitative organizational research
4   use skills and knowledge acquired in the course to evaluate the quality of published research by organizational scientists
5   should be able to interpret research findings and report these results
