Course Objective

Aims to examine important samples and the historical development of handicrafts such as calligraphy, marbling, gilding, miniature, carpets which has a very rich variant of the Turkish-Islamic Arts

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognizes the small crafts which have an important role in the Turkish-Islamic arts.
2   Will be able to contribute fully equipped of understanding the importance and protection of traditional handicrafts .
3   Understands and can detect objects in three-dimensional forms.
4   Meets with the problems of the field and gains the ability of critical thinking and point of view.
5   Gains the ability of re-interpreting and reproducing the knowledge which is learnt during the MA program.
