Course Objective

This course aims to teach the student how to protect the health of school children, their parents and school personnel, how to identify factors affecting school health and how to provide nursing services in treatment, care and rehabilitation stages in cases of disease.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student can evaluate the health of school children, their families and school personnel.
2   The student can take measures to protect the health of school children, their families and school personnel
3   The student can plan the nursing care provided for the school children with special needs, their families and school personnel.
4   The student can evaluate the physiological and social setting of the school.
5   The student can organize the physiological and social setting of the school according to requirements.
6   The student can provide school health services with teamwork.
7   The student can keep records related to school health nursing services.

The student s interpretation, recollection, decision making, description, information combination skills shall be assessed via exams.
In the assignments, the student s ability to making research on the subject, analyze the subject, compare the results with real-life examples, include evidence-based applications, write and express ideas are assessed.
