Course Objective

The aim is to support students to make achievements in the field of their research projects in both knowledge improvement and laboratory skills. Supervisor should also encourage the student to learn and apply current technologies by itself, make conclusions on test results and learn how to accomplish a scientific work. Also supplying students with the formation of independent research talent, ethical responsibilities, writing research project proposals and writing scientific articles are aimed.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to follow and interpret the literature connected to the thesis project and create hypothesis
2   To gain knowledge about grant resources (national and institutional) and application norms
3   To be able to apply and improve the techniques that will be used in the thesis project
4   To be able to conduct the material need, plan assays and interpret the results
5   To be able to solve research problems by taking responsibility and creating new approaches
6   To regard scientific and ethical values while collecting, interpreting and reporting the outcomes of thesis project
7   To be able to present current developments related to the thesis project in proper presentation plan, orally and in written form
8   Displays independent researcher properties in scientific media
9   To be able to set up scientific hypothesis and test it with suitable methods.
10   To share outcomes nationally and internationally
