Course Objective

This course aims the student to describe the risks affecting mental health, to create new policies, to criticize the present mental health policies, and the importance of the psychiatric nursing to take an active part, the importance and ways of lobbying and organizing.

1   Having the knowledge of mental health policies to criticize them
2   Examining critically the mental health policies in the world and our country and factors affecting them
3   Questioning the nursing role in affecting mental health policies
4   Creating projects aimed at how nurses can take part in determining mental health policies

1 National health policy and the current situation, national mental health studies, criticising the WHO European Region mental health action plan in terms of nursing, studies on health protection and rehabilitation and mental health situation , mental health situation in family practice and home care system, mental health studied at the first level and essential legal regulations, Assoc.
