Course Objective

The aim of the course is to examine crisis intervention models, cognitive-behaviourist therapies, psycho-educational and motivational interventions, dynamics of group and individual psychotherapy, and the characteristics of the therapist together with focusing on the principles of supportive therapeutic interventions towards the adults, children, teenagers and families with psychosocial and psychiatric problems.

3   To be able to apply the principles of intervention on the studied groups.
4   To understand the individual characteristics which can affect the therapeutic interventions

1 Therapeutic elements in group and individual therapies: Hopefulness, universality, group commitment, catharsis. Interpersonal learning: The importance of interpersonal relationships, dynamic interactions, transmission and insight between the individual and the group environment Main duties of the therapist: Forming and continuing the group, dealing, transmission and transparency in here and now.
