Course Objective

The aim of this course is to train nurses that know individual, family and community health protection and promotion concepts and affecting factors, behavior-specific health protection and promotion models and solution strategies, have enough skill and competence for developing appropriate nursing approach and carry universal scientist qualifications

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explains the relationship between health protection and promotion behaviors and determiners affecting behavior change.
2   Knows behavior change theories and practices behavior-specific health protection and promotion strategies.
3   Explains national and international health promotion policies, targets, principles and standards
4   Plans and applies health promotion program in accordance with ethical subjects and principles.
5   Knows, plans and applies evidence-based health promotion programs
6   Makes cooperation with individual, family, school, workplace, hospital and other health institutions and society in health promotion programs.
