Course Objective

The aim of this course make the students acquire deep knowledge in occupational health nursing in the formation of a health and safe working area, transfer that knowledge into application, develop program in health care management, manage it and take the lead in solution of the problems

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows the legislations forming basis for occupational health service provision
2   Explains the management principles of occupational health nursing services
3   Explains the role of occupational health nurse in the provision of health service directed at workplace and workers
4   Knows the importance of workplace surveillance studies and applies them
5   Can identify general occupational health and safety problems in workplaces
6   Knows and applies the practices and standards directed at the management of the risks in working area
7   .Knows and uses occupational health epidemiology.
8   Explains and lists the methods of the assessing of occupational health services and assesses the results
9   Knows the developments in the provision of occupational health services

Through exams, the skills of being able to interpret, remember, decide, explain and combine the knowledge are assessed.
