Course Objective

The aim of this course is to understand the biology, molecular properties and genetics of cancer stem cell in a translational overview.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Capable of understanding cancer stem cell and its clinical role
2   Be able to explain sharing and different properties of cancer stem cell and normal stem cell
3   Be able to learn role of cancer stem cell in cancer development
4   Be able to know cancer stem cell related signalling pathways, role of stem cell in hematologic and solid cancers
5   Be able to explain cancer stem cell as a therapoetic target
6   Be able to do cancer stem cell isolation and identification

Assessment Criteria

Learning outcomes will be assessed with classical questions of mid-term and final exams. The homework on the topic of reading and evaluating 5 different types of papers will help in evaluating the learner understood the topics or not.
