Course Objective

By making portrait, figure and medallion applications, which are the subjects of sculpture, to increase the experiences of the students on this issue.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   be able to apply the process of modeling together with its every stage,
2   be able to comprehend the principles of three dimensional basic figuring in portrait and figure sculpture, and the principles of basic figuring in medallion sculpture,
3   be able to analyze and solve the problems related to portrait, figure and medallion,
4   be able to attain a regular and systematic working habit,
5   be able to adapt his/her artistic knowledge to his/her bust, figure and medallion works

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Each student shall obtain the material and the equipment specified above by himself.
The students shall photograph each work at the end of it and shall gather them in an archive folder containing their work information at the end of the term.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

Continuation to the lesson is observed and evaluated.
Each work is assessed by the instructors carrying out the practical work.
At the end of the period, all the works that have been made are presented to the course jury together with a photographed and explained file, and they are evaluated.
Attendance is the only requisite to take part in the evaluation.

Attendance (80%)
Compliance with the workshop and working order
Performance adequacy in the applications
Compliance with the course plan, obtaining the materials and equipment in time
Completion level and period of the works

Course Policies and Rules

The student completes the works given to him in time and in full.
Minimum compulsory attendance rate throughout a practical work is 80%.
Applications with materials will be made in the course workshop by the student himself.
Disciplinary punishment is applied to the attitudes that spoil the order of the workshop and working.
Each student shall obtain the material and the equipment specified above by himself.
The students shall photograph each work at the end of it and shall gather them in an archive folder containing their work information at the end of the term.
