Course Objective

Examine the basic theories of visual communication and the key components of the process of visual communication. Understand the theory of the underlying structure of graphic design.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Having knowledge about the basic concepts of graphic design.
2   Having knowledge about frame of visual communication and its contents.
3   Analyze design work both visually and theoritically.
4   Recognize the distinctive elements of an image
5   Having visual analyzes with semiology
6   Having visual analyzes with Gestalt Methods.
7   Knowing the relationship between design and mass communication.
8   Establishing the relationship between the image and the language.
