Course Objective

The course aims to supply the student;
To make researches on the project subject regarding the student s field of expertise, to complete the design and manufacturing process in accordance with the project determined with the advisor, to present design process and products as required presentation criteria, complete and within the scope of ethical values.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to be able to methodological research about thesis selected regarding his/her area of expertise
2   Be able to turn his/her creative and original ideas into design within the context of thesis and solve the problems
3   Be able to create the thesis collection according to design criteria
4   While creating the thesis collection; to be able to choose the material and production techniques of the products he/she designed
5   Be able to present and argue on the thesis and the collection created; ethical values on designated presentation date before the jury, visually and verbally.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Entering in designing process of the thesis collection and production phase, the students and the advisor work in coordination according to the criteria defined by the Board of Department.
Prior to the jury; the collection prepared, technical and presentation layouts and the collection products are evaluated and criticised by the advisor and the student is asked to come up with; technical and presentation layouts and collection products for the evaluation jury. The advisor gives information regarding the performance expected from the student during jury evaluation and the student s thorough attendance is provided
