Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine the rise of film criticism and its development, main critical approaches to film theories, the problems of film critics in parts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   be mature in scenario analysis
2   learn the historical development of Turkish film criticism
3   Analyse the function of film criticism
4   Comprehend how the criticism is realized by film critics and audience
5   Realize the importance of being a good viewer as a part of artistic production
