Course Objective

Objective of the Course: aims to teach design and product development criteria for Indoor products and textiles which are important and privileged in recent textile sector.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to design products and fabrics for indoor textile and transform design which is prepared for production into product is expected.
2   To able to form and apply collection preparation logic and practice.
3   To be able to establish color, form relationship with respect to selected subject with considering creative, innovative and aesthetic aspects in designs,
4   To be able to make designs in Computer Aided Design And Production Programs in project subjects and to be able to prepare designs for production.
5   Indoor product groups planning, to know theoretically and the about product types and product development and indoor textile design criteria s; and to express the researches orally and visually are expected.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lecturer conveys the course by using course notes that are prepared from several sources and visual presentations.
Project theme is researched in visual and written way, and materials which will be source for design will be selected. Designs for productions will be formed after sketch stage after that some of the designs will be transformed into product by using textile techniques and methods in workshop conditions. Any kind of idea is expressed without any prejudice and occurrence of new ideas is provided for each student by participation of class during design process.
Applications
Lecturer takes note of experimental applications which increases the creativity of students during design production stage. In addition to this, lecturer has an attitude which is focused on solutions for the problems which can occur in production.
