Course Objective

The aim is to have the students make a sample repair work in the restoration period, and have them learn the techniques in use.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The aim is to supply maximum student attendance. In first lesson, the 15-week program is introduced to the students. After giving the information about the methods and techniques applied in restoration, a sample weaving restoration process is carried out.

Assessment Methods

Students will be asked to prepare a research subject and to study on a project. The pass grade will be determined by the grades they have got by these two studies.

Assessment Criteria

Both the research subject and the project will be evaluated out of 100. The 40 % of the research study grade and 60 % of the project grade will determine the pass grade.

Course Policies and Rules

The compulsory attendance is 80%.
Before the end of the term, in the last 15 days, students will be able to learn their attendance. Students having absenteeism over 80% won t be accepted to the final exam.
At the end of each course, the next lesson s subject is given to the students as study and research subject. So, students come to the next lesson ready.
If a student is on sick leave, he will be considered absent.
