Course Objective

This course aims to enable student to have advanced information related to different kiln types and firing techniques and able to perform alternative firing technics practically.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

1. Studies on lessons
Teaching theoretical information about firing techniques and kilns. Guiding students to make researches. Eximining aforementioned researches with students.
2. Practice
Controlling and practicing of approved firing technique by teamworking. Deliberating of problems and solutions that came up and analyzing theroretical information of application methods.
3. Presentation
Analyzing presentation files that include investigations and practices. Arguing the shortcomings with students.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

1. Principally, evaluation will be made from complete finalized firing technique.
2. Presentation file and arguments of aforementioned studies will also be evaluated.
3. Finally, attendence of lessons, qualification of given answers and contribution of student for positive educational ambiance will be taken into consideration.
