Course Objective

To have the knowledge of the correct and efficient use of studio equipment. To provide necessary skills in hardware use and routing.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course will be held with lectures, presentations, course notes and books to provide the usage abililties for ProTool, which is the main working environment in recording studios. Applications will be held as groups and interpreted in class.

Further Notes About Assessment Methods

There will be 1 midterm, 2 projects and a number of quizes.

Assessment Criteria

The midterms will be theoretical and practical and they will focus on the practical studio skills of the student. The basic use of the studio, signal routing and the use of time will be evaluated. The projects will be evaluated on the basis of equal participation of all group members, routing skills, hardware use and problem solving skills.
