Course Objective

Acquire the advanced knowledge how to diagnosis of speech disorders and how to select appropriate speech threapy.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Able to apply the basic speech disorder threapys.
2   Integrate research knowledge with clinical expertise and patient preference to establish the means of providing cost-effective, high quality clinical service in this specialist area.
3   Develop advanced level assessment and identification of appropriate treatment techniques/approaches in the management of developmental speech disorders
4   Provide an advanced level of skill and clinical reasoning ability in the provision of therapy for this specific client group
5   Adopt an evidence based approach to therapeutic interventions for children with speech disorders
