Course Objective

Acquire the knowledge how to diagnosis and management of noise induced hearing loss, measurement and control methods of noise in industrial work places.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The ability to obtain accurate information about noise induced hearing loss including via case history interview, and through the appropriate selection and completion of behavioral and electrophysiologic and psychosocial assessments.
2   An advanced understanding of the acoustic, psychological, developmental and social aspects of occupational hearing loss
3   Acquiring knowledge of the measurement techniques, protection and control methods of noise in in industiral work places
4   Management of noiced induced hearing loss.
5   Synthesise information from research literature concerning issues relevant industrial audiometry
