Course Objective

Starting from art movements s great artworks and the works of related great thinkers, philosophical basis of art movements and their relations are investigated.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The participants know the philosophical foundations of art movements.
2   The participants know distinctions between theories of art developed by philosophers.
3   The participants make philosophical analysis about the works of art and categorize them accordingly.
4   The participants make philosophical comparisions between the works of art.
5   The participants comprehend the relation between art and philosophy .
