Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce students to the institutional importance of museums and the role the works of art exhibited in the museums play in developing the cultural and aesthetic level of the society.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students define and explain the importance of museums in the social and cultural life.
2   Students acquire a general knowledge on the function and roles of the museums.
3   Students define and explain different artistic genres and movements
4   Students discuss works of art in a comparative way.
