Course Objective

The objective of this course is to introduce the literary movement of Romanticism in World Literature from a comparative point of view.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, the students will be able; To distinguish "classicism" and "romanticism".
2   To recognize that romanticism is a metacultural phenomenon.
3   To distinguish the most popular motives of romanticism.
4   To analyse the most important works of world literature.
5   To apply the knowledge in the frame of literature and film.
