Course Objective

The aim of this course is to make students be able to understand patriarchal discourse, make contact between gender and written and parol discourse, following reflections of sexist discourse and patriarchal discourse in the media, asess difference between patriarchal discourse and feminist theories in the view of critical discourse analysis.

1   1. Describe and apply basic concepts of Patriarchy, Discourse and Gender
2   2. Explain the relationship between Patriarchy and language with features
3   3. Create awareness about patriarchal linguistic performance in written and parol discourse
4   4. Criticise patriarchal linguistic performance in written and parol discourse
