Course Objective

The aim of this lesson is to make students able to linguistically evaluate the clues involved in a crime,paraphrase the testimony of the suspect in interrogation room and to determine the quality of all kinds of speech records.

1   Describe the fundemental concepts of forensic linguistics
2   Explain the relation between forensic linguistics and stylistics with attributes
3   Apply the methods of critical discourse analysis
4   Evaluate and criticise a forensic linguistics research
5   Be able to find results via linguistic evidences.
