Course Objective

Development in ports and generations. Port capacity evaluation. Port demand forecasting. Economics of port design and layout. Port equipment selection. Container
terminal operations. General cargo terminal operations. Dry and liquid cargo terminal operations. Ro-Ro terminal operations. Port performance measurement. Port performance
measurement at container terminals. Port performance measurement at liquid, general and dry cargo terminals. Port performance measurement at Ro-Ro terminals.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Planning, implementing and controlling skills in maritime businesses.
2   Planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, controlling, and leading the operation of the ship and the care for persons at operational and managerial levels
