Course Objective

The objective of the course is to introduce information from the different fields of Environmental Engineering. Thus, it is aimed that students are informed about the employment alternatives, types of jobs, condtions of work places, their contributions to the anticipated jobs. Plus differents subject having current importance is introduced to the students.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To get (practical) information from the experts of different fields of environmental engineers. 2   To give information via an expert about the current issues of theenvironmental engineering which could not be included into the educational program. 3   To know where may be employed after graduation

Week Subject Description 1 Introduction: Introduction of the different fields of Environmetal Engineering, presentation of various applications, to introduce the concept of professional responsibility 2 Water Supply: To give information about water supply applications of IZSU (Water and sewarage authority of Izmir), or DSI (State Hydraulic Works) or Proviencial Bank 3 Water Purification: Water treatment in ZSU, Proviencial Bank or other applications sistemlerine yönelik bilgiler verilmesi 4 Wastewater treatment: Wastewater treatment in IZSU, Provencial Bank or other applications 5 Trainning on Occupational safety and health (certificated) 6 Trainning on Occupational safety and health (certificated) 7 Trainning on Occupational safety and health (certificated) 8 Trainning on Project Management (certificated) 9 Trainning on Project Management (certificated) 10 Training on Environmental laws and regulations and applivations 11 Midterm exam 12 Tranning on OHSAS - ISO14000 Quality Management 13 Trainning on Pools and pool equipment 14 Trainning on Noise Pollution and applications
