Course Objective

The objectives of this course are to transfer the detailed theoretical knowledge about parameters is important in terms of determination of the level of pollution and control of the pollution at the field of environmental engineering and to introduce the analysis methods related these parameters.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Defines the principles of general chemistry and chemical parameters related to environmental pollution.
2   Composes sample take, preparation from any water source or pollution source and sample safety operations.
3   Classifies solid matter in water and wastewater
4   Analyses pH and dissolved oxygen in water and wastewater.
5   Analyses biochemical oxygen demand and chemical oxygen demand parameters that have very important effect on discharge standard.
