Course Objective

The aim of this lesson is to give first year engineering students ability to understand technical drawing standards, to draw projection view of 3D objects and to give basic knowledge to draw and understand perspective view. Relation between point, line, plane and cross section application, measuring together with basic knowledge of technical drawing.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Engineering students can express the technical drawing is a graphic communication tool and recognize technical drawing tools and techniques
2   Clarify the relation between objects and projections
3   It can measure to grasp the logic of two-dimensional engineering
4   Cross section application and projection compliance in mining applications
5   To understand perspective view and to apply
6   To relate professional application with technical drawing

1 Introduction, technical drawing as a communication tool, the draft definition of the geometry, general information
2 Lines, standard font, scale
3 Geometric constructions (the division into two equal parts of truth, truth out of planting, planting truth stroke, parallel to the line drawings, triangle, pentagon, hexagon heptagon drawings, etc. ..)
4 Geometric drawings (drawings of a circle or tangent to the broadcast center of the circle circumference, ellipse, oval, etc. ..)
5 Geometrical drawings (Arc joining methods)
6 Applications arc joining
7 Mid-term exam 1
8 Projection methods
9 Projection
10 Dimensioning
11 Sectioning
12 Perspective view
13 Mid-term exam 2
