Course Objective

To deepen their english on professionel terminology. Therefore they need their basic english knowledge from the first year. On this basic knowledge they will learn how to profit from english literature about anaesthesiology, and how to communicate with an english speaking patient.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to communicate with a foreign patient in english, which is necessary to prepare a patient for anaesthesia
2   To be able to get information from a english written patient file, which could be important for anaethesia management
3   To be able to understand anaesthesia literature with help of a dictionnary
4   To be able to understand information about anaesthesia equipment (for example reading the instructor manual)
