Course Objective

The aim of this course is to teach the methods which should be followed in a scientific study, instruct the data collection methods and techniques and teach their use in an application.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Knows the basis and structure of a scientific study
2   Knows the rules of problem detection and writing rules in a scientific study.
3   Comprehend the qualitative and quantitative methods
4   Detect and evaluate the system and paradigm
5   Knows the gatherin, analysis and interpretation methods of the data
6   Knows the reference writing rules, can create a report of the scientific study and learns ethical rules.

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Information on science, scientific information, scientific study and the importance of the objective in a scientific study will be given
2 Information on scientific study approaches will be given
3 The fundemental concepts about the scientific studies will be instructed
4 Knowledge on validity, reliability and scientific ethic will be given
5 The methods which are used in scientific studies will be given
6 The methods which are used in scientific studies will be given
7 The data collection methods used in scientific studies will be given
8 The data collection methods used in scientific studies will be given
9 The quantitative data analysis and interpretation methods used in scientific studies will be given
10 The quantitative data analysis and interpretation methods used in scientific studies will be given
11 The subject of reference scanning and tracking will be taught with the help of examples
12 The subject of reference scanning and tracking will be taught with the help of examples
13 Tha chapters of a scientific study and the general writing rules will be given
14 A general review on the subject of scientific study methods will be done
