Course Objective

To learn the emergence and development of the science of Kalam (Islamic Theology), considering all its historical conditions, and to prepare the ground for understanding of systematic Kalam s subjects correctly.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The students, will have information about the preparing factors of Kalam in the first Islamic century.
2   will have information on general attitudes concerning issues of the Islamic faith in the period before the emergence of Kalam.
3   will have information on effective persons and sects in the formation period of Kalam.
4   will obtain the assessment opportunities on the circulation and the historical adventure of metaphysical thought.
5   will gain the opportunity to see the impact of the historical and sociological conditions on the science of Kalam.
