Course Objective

To learn Durkheimian sociology with its all aspects and to analyze its impacts on Turkish sociological tradition.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will learn and discuss all aspects of Durkheimian sociology.
2   They will get introduced positivistic sociology through Durkheim.
3   They will analyze Turkish representatives of Durkheimian sociology and their impacts.
4   They will discuss impatcs of Durkheimian sociology on works in the area of the sociology of religion in Turkey.
5   They will read works in the area of sociology of religion in Turkey produced based on Durkheimian sociology.
